Outreach Team

Volunteer your time with one of the many different social justice, community assistance and outreach projects undertaken each year, or start a new one.

Do you feel called to work for a more just, peaceful and equitable world? Social Justice initiatives and community outreach projects at ESG enable us to be both pro-active and responsible to the injustices and inequities that surround us. We’ve highlighted a few of the current opportunities below.

Welcome Basket Project

Working together with other North Toronto Churches we are creating Welcome Baskets for people transitioning from shelters to permanent housing across the city. Learn more.

Little Free Pantry

The mini pantry movement is a grassroots, crowd-sourced solution to food insecurity. We maintain a free outdoor food pantry at the front of the church which is filled each week by our volunteers. Learn more.

Faithful Green Actions Group

The Faithful Green Actions Team, is a mission within the North Toronto group of United Churches whose purpose is to provide education on environmental issues and social justice and to advocate for a healthy planet. Twice a year we publish a newsletter to share tips and resources. Learn More.

Advent Gifts

Each year on the second Sunday of Advent (December 4th this year) our church collects gifts for those in need. This year, we are focusing on local initiatives that help support our community. Learn more.

Community Partner Agencies

ESG provides financial support to a number of agencies who serve those in need in our local community in Toronto. Outreach Team members help coordinate with these agencies. Learn more.
