Award-winning visual artist, Suendrini (Suen) Goonesekera’s body of work, entitled Artful Waste, has been featured in the series, Artistry Of God at Eglinton St. George United Church this past Spring. Now, two years in the making, Suen and sponsor the Peace With Justice group of ESG welcomes you to experience the Forget Me Project art exhibition.

The Forget Me Project was created in an effort to acknowledge and process, from the settler’s perspective, an awful time in Canadian history: Indian Residential Schools. This collaborative and multigenerational art initiative consists of 215 individual fabric hearts, each representing the life taken of an indigenous child who did not return from the Kamloops Indian residential school they were forced to attend.

The exhibit will be available the following dates / times, or contact Suen to arrange another time to experience the art.
