Food Justice Cooking Series: Asam Ahmad from the FoodShare Community Kitchen

May 8 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Food is about more than what’s on the plate. It’s also about who’s at the table and why they’ve come together. We believe that cooking and eating together hold power. The kind of power that connects folks and reduces social isolation. Asam Ahmad from the FoodShare Community Kitchens, will facilitate a one-of-a-kind workshop where we explore food as a human right, learn about right-to-food movements across the world, and do a deep dive on the Toronto Food Charter. We will also come together and prepare a light salad, and a spinach, mushroom, and tomato phyllo pie together. This event is for the whole family, and all ages are welcome to join. Eventbrite coming soon.
