Billy J. Choi-Gekas (Bizhiw Doodem, Lynx Clan)
I identify as a queer, non-binary, mixed-race person of colour, 2nd generation settler from Tkaronto, Ontario, Canada.
I embody an intersection of faiths that are rooted in a Christ-centric theology, and am committed to the Red Road as I walk alongside my adopted Anishinaabe Family, Elders, and community in Manitoba. I am a member of the Anglican Church of Canada and an Anthroposophist. My spiritual practice is lineage-based, and rooted in Anishinaabe, Taoist, Vedic, and Anthroposophical initiated teachings. My graduate studies at the University of Toronto (Trinity College) focused on anti-colonial methodologies and ecotheology. I have a private practice as a Wholistic Practitioner & Educator that began in 2007, as a certified: Ayurvedic Practitioner, Master Herbalist, Medical Qigong Therapist-Teacher, Reiki Master Teacher, and E-RYT® 500 & YACEP® Yoga Teacher, and trained in Biodynamic Agriculture through the Pfeiffer Centre. I also continue to be mentored in specialized training with my Sifu Sat Chuen Hon of the DanTao & Longmen (Dragon Gate) Taoist lineage.
