a fundraiser in support of backpacks and school supplies for children in Thorncliffe Park
A total of over 600 backpacks were distributed to families in Thorncliffe Park on September 2nd, 2022!
It was great to see so many families out to receive a backpack for their children and to watch the young ones discovering their new school supplies. Many thanks to all the churches in the North Toronto Cluster who supported this project, the generous donations from ESG members, the shopping skills of Caren Cate, the supervision of Aidan Legault and the Grow Team for the backpack assembly line, and to Masood Alam and the Canadian Community Services Organization for arranging for the distribution event. We look forward to supporting a similar effort next year – led by one of our Cluster churches.
