Out of the Cold Volunteering

Through Out of the Cold we help alleviate the immediate needs of those who find themselves homeless.  Each year we host dinners throughout the season at Blythwood Road Church – planning and cooking the meal and serving the guests.

Volunteers help with preparation (4:30-6:30 shift) and serving (6:30-8:30 shift) of the dinner, along with some advance tasks such as grocery shopping and meal planning. These dinners are wonderful opportunities for individuals and families to share in helping the most vulnerable in our community. Hours can also be earned for high school community volunteer credits. Volunteering at Out of the Cold is a rich, rewarding and mutually beneficial experience.  Families and individuals (ages 14+) are welcome to volunteer.

If you are interested in volunteering with Out of the Cold, please sign up on the Out of the Cold board in the reception hub at ESG, or email our Outreach Coordinator.

Perhaps you are not available to volunteer but you are interested in financially contributing to one of the dinners.  Let us know!
