REPLACING ESG’S ORGAN: CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

February 2 @ 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm

Eglinton St. George’s United Church has started an exciting initiative that will enhance our music program and invest in our infrastructure by replacing our organ.

Our church’s organ is in poor condition and is getting worse. Each year, more of the organ becomes unplayable. If no action is taken, the organ will be completely unreliable, and significant portions will be unplayable, in 3-5 years.

Governing Council has adopted a plan to replace the organ with a newer one in full working condition.

On Sunday, February 2, at 12:15 pm in the sanctuary and online, a congregational meeting will be held to approve the plan for funding this project. Specifically, the congregation’s approval is required to use funds from the War Memorial component of the Centennial Bursary Fund to pay for a portion of the cost of the new organ. A majority vote in favour is needed for this project to proceed.

Learn more about the project here.

Please plan to attend the Congregational Meeting after the worship service on February 2. The meeting is expected to last about half-an-hour.
