Join us for Food & Faith/s, a cultural and culinary miniseries at ESG United Church!
At each event, a guest from another faith and culture teaches us how to make a food that connects their faith with their culture, all the while sharing stories and wisdom from their experience. This is an opportunity to practice learning from someone different from yourself, and build empathy for others with different experiences, beliefs, and traditions.
Each of the three events will feature a guest from around the world who is part of a major global faith tradition. We will begin with cooking and learning together, and end by sharing a meal around the table.
Our third iteration on May 21 will be focused on Orthodox Christianity with guest presenters Arsema, Mebrat, and Makeda from Ethiopia. We’re excited to see you there!
