Cultural Kitchen Party: Jewish Food and Culture
September 22, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Join a small group for our next Cultural Kitchen Party on Wednesday, September 22nd from 5:00-6:30 pm. Cheryl Lipman will be our host, cooking her Jewish family’s favourite Holishkes (cabbage rolls) along side you via Zoom.
Cost is $20. All proceeds go to charity.
A bit about Cheryl
Cheryl was born and raised in Toronto in a very family-oriented household that celebrated their Jewish heritage primarily through food. She is the mother of a son, daughter, has two son-in-laws, and is a brand-new Bubby (Grandmother in Yiddish/Jewish).
Food has always played a very important role in Cheryl’s life. Her father was a Kosher Butcher when she was a child. And Cheryl has spent 20 years working in the food industry. For her, being Jewish is about the holidays and festivals when family comes together to eat, so she is very excited to host a Cultural Kitchen Party and share her love of Jewish food and culture.
We think Cheryl’s family recipe for Holishkes (cabbage rolls) is sure to become a mainstay in your family too.
More about Cultural Kitchen Parties at ESG
Be a part of a small group to “cook-along and chat”, with a maximum of 14 participants. Cost per person is $20.
Our host for the evening will lead us in cooking an easy and delicious dish. While preparing and enjoying the food, we’ll share in her personal experiences of her culture, and build our understanding of important traditions that might influence our own lives.
On Sept. 22nd, we’ll be cooking together for the first part of the Party, then chatting while the holishkes bake.
