Cultural Kitchen Party

Tuesday, Dec 8 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm via Zoom

Join us virtually for our first Cultural Kitchen Party, with its focus on Indian food and culture on Tuesday, Dec. 8th.

This event takes its cue from Newfoundlanders’ famous kitchen parties (fun, casual, and personal) and gives them a cultural twist to help us understand different cultures from a first-hand perspective.

Be a part of a small group “cook-along and chat”, with a maximum of 14 participants. Cost per person is $20.

Prepare sautéed paneer with a 2-step roti.

Join our host Loveleen via Zoom, as she leads us in cooking an easy and delicious paneer (cheese) appetizer with a side of roti. While preparing and enjoying the food, we’ll share in her personal experiences of Indian culture, and build our understanding of important Indian traditions that might influence our own lives. Loveleen, along with a co-moderator on Zoom, will ensure the session is open and interactive, touching on food, religion, family, education – you name it! It’s a wonderful opportunity to ask questions you may have about Indian cuisine and culture, and everyday life coming from that perspective.

We think the intro and cooking will take the first 45 min, with eating and chatting for  another 45 min.
