ESG Reads – On the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7 pm, from September–May, excluding December, book lovers gather for lively discussion and fellowship. Can’t attend every month? No problem, come when you can.
Learning from the Experts – We offer evening sessions throughout the year, with a changing focus. View the poster for our Fall 2018 Series on Mental Health.
Yoga & Meditation Class – Taught by a certified yoga and seniors’ specialist on Mondays at 3:30 pm and 6:45 pm. Classes are suitable for all levels, and include breathwork, stretching and some longer held restorative poses for immune building and healing. First class is complimentary.
Mindfulness Meditation Group – Meditation in a small group setting, once per month on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm. Led by Patti Thompson.
Compassionate Justice – an ESG a speaker series held 4-5 times per year on Sundays at 12:30 pm. Find out about this year’s speakers or listen to the audio library of past speakers.
Promoting Social Justice
Peace with Justice – Meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm to discuss concerns regarding human rights, peace and justice. Bring a bag supper. Contact Carole Penny
Sunday Morning Men’s Group – A discussion group for men focusing on current affairs and issues. Meets the second Sunday of each month at 8:15 am. If you would like to join in on the conversation please contact Dave Clemens
Sunday Morning Women’s Group – A discussion group for women focusing on current issues, feminism and spirituality. Meets on the second Sunday of each month at 8:00 am for a breakfast meeting. Contact Diane Cochrane
WWIT (Wise Women in Training) – is a group of women who meet to discuss books about spirituality. The group began with the goal of deepening our understanding of new developments in Christian theological writing and thinking. Our scope has broadened over the years to include other approaches to the moral and ethical issues of our day. Anyone interested in joining these discussions is welcomed. We meet the second Monday of the month at 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Contact Ann Bythell
