The Underground Youth Group at ESG is teaming up with our neighbouring churches, Blythwood Road Baptist & Glenview Presbyterian, to collect food benefiting the North York Harvest Food Bank & the Daily Food Bank. Wear your costume and join us for a night of fun and service. We will meet at Blythwood at 7pm and return there after the food drive for fellowship and Halloween fun!
Our fall luncheon with communion will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at noon. You will enjoy a delicious luncheon with friends old and new. Invitations have been sent out. If you did not receive one, and would like to attend, please call the ESG office at 416-481-1141 x210. We hope to see you there!
Parenting Tweens/Teens? Join us as we discuss the issues of ‘Parenting Tweens/Teens in the 21st Century’. This group will meet bi-weekly on Monday evenings from 7- 8:30 pm, in the Hearth Room, beginning on October 23.
Speakers in the 2017-2018 program will continue to address a
comprehensive range of social justice issues and concerns. Free admission. Lunch provided at 11:45 am, with the speaker following at 12:30 pm

Peter Russell, Professor Emeritus of Political Science, University of Toronto will speak on the topic: Understanding Aboriginal Peoples in a Canada based on incomplete conquests.
Peter’s presentation, drawn from his latest book Canada’s Odyssey, will serve as a clear response to the general confusion about the place of Indigenous peoples within Canada’s constitutional structure. He will revisit the assumptions Canadians hold regarding Indigenous peoples and the history and structure of the Canadian state.

We will be serving burgers and hot dogs (beef or veggie), veggies, fruit and cookies.

There will be a petting zoo on the lawn with treats to feed the animals. Neighbours and friends, come join this marvellously chaotic celebration of the love we share with our pets!
